Customer Review Starbucks 398574 : I worked for Starbucks for 6 years so I know what I’m doing with espresso makers. some of the reviews I’ve read it seems obvious that people don’t learn how to make coffee properly and they expect the machine to do all the work for them. Recently gave my Espresso machine away because I couldn’t store it. This was one that I had wanted to buy for several months before I did. When I saw it for a good price I bought it up right away. It took about three days to get to know the machine. It is a bit different from the baristas which I had owned in the past. That part was very frustrating and I thought I had just bought a horrible product. But once I figured out that the machine has some big differences from the previous espresso machines I’ve owned (like making sure the filter was on VERY tight and the seam wand unscrews.) I’m now very happy with it. Makes great coffee!

Customer Review Hamilton Beach 48464 : The Brewstation (different model) had a good review in consumer reports and reasonable reviews on life expectancy on Amazon so I picked this up at Target. When set on regular, the coffee was too weak but was pretty good once we set the strength to bold.
The reservoir is somewhat awkward to fill (I have spilled it more than a few times). The other annoying feature is that if you do not push the cup against the back firmly, it dribbles. It also always dribbles when you reach the end of the pot.
The little quibbles aside, I enjoy this coffee maker. It is simple to use and makes a good cup of coffee. And, it is very reasonably priced.
